Developing APIs with Postman

More and more Drupal projects involve creating and testing a web API. This talk will cover using the tool Postman, a Chrome plugin ( http://www.getpostman.com/ ) , as an IDE for developing APIs, and well as generally best practices. Creating a web API is not substantially different from any other type of programming; however, developers and customers are very used to describing desired behavoir in terms of a URL and what should appear on the page. Doing the same with an API call can require a lot more information. Postman offers a way to build requests, review and save the results, and archive and share those collections as a way of communicating with other developers and team members. The talk will include in a walk-through of the features of Postman, and a demo of how it can be used in your development workflow. At the end automated testing against APIs will also be addressed.
