35+ years in Business Applications Design, Development, Architecture and Strategic Consulting at Motorola, Texas Instruments, and EDS/HP. Currently retired from the corporate world and dedicating my energies, philanthropic support, and software/IT knowledge to non-profits who focus on education and under-served kids as an active Partner at Dallas Social Venture Partners (DSVP.org). Currently participating on the Dallas After School Network KIPP Charter School IT Steering Committees and recently migrated 27,000+ contacts for Texas Instruments Alumni Retiree and Association Membership data to a Drupal 7/x/CiviCRM 4.x site.
As part of a Texas Instruments Alumni team, I've migrated their complex data into a new Drupal 7 and civiCRM 4.2 solution from an Access DB with rules applied via asp code and manually applied procedural steps. Our new portal was announced and demonstrated at the Annual TI Alumni Meeting to be held in the newly opened George Bush Library on the Dallas, TX, Southern Methodist University (SMU) campus the second week of May, 2013.
We've just released the missionpossiblekids.org web site utilizing Drupal and are planning a multi-phased civiCRM implementation.
